Lessons of life

Monday, December 24th, 2007

Since it’s the end of the year, I’ve got some lessons of life to share gathered around the year! Enjoy!

1.       Never EVER be too close to guys (especially your age) because not only you can jaga your mahallah, but you’ll avoid getting hurt by them coz usually that’s what they do when u get close to them.

2.       If you already have a guy best friend, never EVER fall for him because a kuch kuch hota hai effect will occur- the guy bestfriend will fail to see your loyalty and sacrifices for him and fall for the other girl who is everything you are not and never even close before. And, mind you, there’s no corrective surgery for this impairment of vision according to a renowned ophthalmologist!

3.       If you have become the poor unlucky gal, don’t fret. Start a new day, sock the guy best friend and be happy that you could at least find a guy of your own league

4.       If you have become the Shah RUkh Khan (fine! I admit!i baru tgk kuch2 hota hai), then go on wif that new gal, just don’t hurt your lost-bestfriend anymore and make her tears worthwhile by seriously hitching wif that gal. (yeker?)

5.       Never EVER dump your bestfriends for your girlfriend or boyfriend (beza tau if dah kawin! That’s why bagus kahwin..takde problems nih!)

6.       Don’t make unkempt promises.

7.       Be punctual, with cardiomegaly.meaning, if be forgivingla if ppl are late despite you are punctual. tapi ade limits die!!!

8.       Taking medicine as your career doesn’t stop there. It comes with great sacrifices especially if you are a girl. There goes your age, youth and probably your choice of your future husband!(that is IF you ever going to get married!)hahahah. Yelah, everyone wants you to finish your studies first la..complete your m.o lahh do your specializing la..oh well, they "ALWAYS" knows what’s best for you!

9.       Nevertheless, if you know what you want, and it is not wrong against Him you can always work for it even if everyone is against you because Allah is with His servants. Usually, those that you don’t get are the ones that you don’t really want to pon..

10.   And if you are not taking medicine, hey! You pon byk sacrifices gak..hehe

11.   Never EVER put yourself in positions where you can be a rebound to someone. Coz usually, those who rebound you might not even know that they are doing it!(really??)

12.   I think a month is the minimum length of time before you get someone new after you’ve dumped or rejected someone.kan liya?ok la.. if earlier than that, hurts. a lot

13.   Try to be happy for other’s fortune and rezki..insyaAllah, your share will come.

14.   Perfection is the enemy of good. There’s no way of getting things perfect at one go or at your first time. It will only procrastinate. Anticipate faults and tackle it. Improvise next time around.

15.   Don’t be calculative. It only serves as a reminder of your own royal bragginess!

emm.. that’s all i guess!

Home sweet Home

i can’t believe i would say that.. especially thinking back when i was soo upset wif my parents for not letting me getting what i really, really wanted.

but home is the BEST place to be!

especially when you’re sick. like i did. on the past few days i had viral sorethroat. painful to swallow, so tired and lethargic, headache, watery eyes..and i was actually contemplating to drive to a friend’s wedding in terengganu yesterday coz i kinda promised ppl yg nak tumpang me..luckily i didn’t drive! i mean, kalau tak, it’s sooo dangerous for them. tapi alhamdulillah, they all berjaya gi wedding tuh.. except nurah. and well, i think bagus gak i tak pergi. i don’t think i have the strength to face it and act normal and not conscious of the look ppl are giving to me with the same question on their head,’why aren’t u married yet?? nak kumpul dosa dulu kerr?’

and yeay! i too, feel better already. i took a flight from kuantan to kl (thanx to some mr.hero ) and my parents picked me up. next day my mom cooked nasi ayam for me which was sooo delicious!!!hehe. terus rasa nak baik! nurah was right! i should come back home coz here got ppl to take care of me!

despite sakit i went to watch Golden Compass. again! and i slept the whole movie with a blanket i brought. hehe. buat per pergi??? coz the whole family pergi..

and i watched heroes sbb nadim download sume. and i ate a lot of food!! yeay! bestnnyyerr!!!

another 3 hours to go back home and i’m haunted with my unfinished case write up, untouched homevisit reports and unsearched literature review for my research work!!! aaaaaaaarrrghhhhh!! nak sakit balik!!

boohoohoo!!

somethings just haf to come to an end..ey?

*sigh*

do u know that selfish is such a BIG word?
it means to think of urself more than others
it also means to fight for what u want regardless of what people say and its       consequences
it’s not entirely bad. sometimes you have to when you kept on being used as a doormat.
sometimes it’s bad because you hurt other people.

you know it’s upsetting to see your bestfriends drift apart and you don’t know what to do..are you selfish if you want them back when you know that probably that is not the best for them, maybe?

do you know that to form a double covalent bond it needs to break another single bond? probably it applies to human too. to build a new relationship means a lost of one?

not necessarily.

i mean humans are high intelligent beings. they are rational and considerate. they’ll learn to accept others.

but what if the environment is making it difficult? all this talking and assumptions makes it even harder?

then they drift apart, i guess.

i wish they don’t.
and things will be the same again.
5years is long and strong enough i think.

miss you guys..

why government hospital is so slow??

why government hospital is so SLOW???

because we are always comparing it to private hospitals out there.

i’m not like taking any sides here, but the thing is the ministry of health is providing the best for all of us. my advice (if u dont want to read till the end) is that if you can afford it, just go to those good, established private hospitals and stop giving unnecessary burdens to the short-staffed,underpaid,overworked doctors working heartily and honestly there. seriously!!

while in my public health posting i’ve learned a LOT about what do really doctors do. those unglamourous ones that reminds me a lot of the series JAne seymour acted as a doctor in a small town. well, believe me, that u still have that in malaysia and u still have a small breed of doctors that are the unsung heroes, i might say.

in kg. bantal 4 hours by road from kuantan to kuala tahan and another 4 hours by boat, a malay community settled there and guess what?? medical team is sent there every month to entertain pregnant ladies, old ppl wif diabetes and high blood pressure and up to ur common flu and occasionally a bone broken! P1010359

this is the yong doctor who provided service there

in Runchang, which is a relocated village for orang asli has their own klinik desa which has 2 jururawat masyarakat which one of them baruuu je bertunang! and she’s like in a middle of nowhere..no place to shop, tgk wayang nasib baik ade astro! and y is she there when a young newly engaged lady can suit better in the cities?? because of the health of the ppl there. because the ministry would like to reach out to ALL malaysians out there. to reduce communicable diseases in turn, turning our country into a developed country! phew!

imagine, i had to go there like a 3 hour journey from pekan to search an orang asli family (who doesnt even ask for our treatment) just to tell him, "hey, u and your family have ans appointment to check your TB status." and " yeah, tomorrow we will come and PICK you up to get your sheck-up done!

to.that.extent.

there are loads more examples but what im trying to say is, why dont we give government hospitals a break. dont compare their services with privates when they are entertaining a wider range of ppl.from the poorest of the poor to the richest of the rich (i mean the sultan has their own WARD!!) so, yeah.. i’ve turned noble. hahah.
